Letter 605: Medico

In the pursuit of perfection, we all forget we are human. We are quick to judge and harsh on dishing out disparaging comments. All too often, we forget we need each other, and that we rely on each other. The other day, I met an incredibly humble fellow human being. In his eyes I saw tolerance, and a heart as big as the ocean. And to think my first impression of him was that he was arrogant and indifferent. I was wrong, oh how I was wrong! He surprised me with the many statements he made, and it is through gradually letting my guard down that I realised he was actually quite cool. I need to stop building walls so quickly around people, but I am afraid I'll get hurt, just like the way it was with you.

Too often I'm humbled by others whom I meet who are far more capable, wiser and "in tune" than I am, yet are far humbler. But hey, we keep learning, right? :)
